Daryl Synstelien began his tenure as co-owner and Executive Director for the proprietorship of Synstelien Foster Homes in 1993. He has served as CEO for Synstelien Community Services since its incorporation in 1999. His entrepreneurial background and skills in consumer relations and business management specially equip him for the challenges of the Human Services industry. His determination for this agency to provide the highest quality of service and care inspires a vision for a "person-centered" and team-oriented approach to meeting the needs of disabled individuals and their families.
Linda Synstelien, CFO/Owner
Linda Synstelien served as co-owner and Business Administrator for the proprietorship of Synstelien Foster Homes from 1993 to 1999 and has continued in the position of CFO for Synstelien Community Services from 1999 to the present. Linda holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Kent State University in Kent, Ohio. Linda is a "master" at data organization and interpretation. Linda oversees all aspects of financial management, accounting and reporting.
Kent Runge, Executive Director
Kent began his employment with SCS as a Services Coordinator in 2004, and in 2008 he transitioned to his current role as the Executive Director of SCS. Kent oversees, supports, and works with SCS's Residential Program Directors, Home Coordinators and Direct Support Professionals to provide support services to all of SCS's current clients. Kent's professional background includes serving as a Mental Health Worker, and Youth Advocate in Community Mental Health and Inpatient Psychiatric settings in both direct care and administrative capacities.
David Monk, Operations Support Coordinator David brings his strengths in organization and communication to the challenging role of scheduling all direct support shifts at multiple job sites. Managing several thousand hours of duty assignments each payperiod requires skillful planning and implementation strategies! David also manages the initial orientation of all direct support personnel, as well as benefits management for full-time personnel.
Marlys Hamilton, Accounting Support Coordinator
Marlys is every employee's best friend every other Friday, as she insures that paychecks are accurate and available in a predictable and timely manner! She is steady as a rock, and brings many years of valuable experience in payroll, billing, and accounts payable duties to this critical role with Synstelien Community Services. Nobody watches those numbers quite as well as she does!
